Black Swan Student Ambassadors - High School
In 2013 we introduced the Student Ambassador Program. Year 12 high school students are nominated in Year 11 by their teachers to become an ambassador the following year.
The 2017 high school student ambassadors are: Adam Di Tullio, Brindy Donovan, Emily Klonowski and Brianna Linto-Smith.
"Being a Black Swan Student Ambassador has been an amazing experience. Theatre is something I am insanely passionate about, and being granted this opportunity has involved me in the arts even more. Having connections to such an incredible theatre company has opened up my mind and encouraged me to pursue a career in drama. The shows that are put on by Black Swan never fail to amaze me, each one has its very own personality. The directing, acting, and of course design is always extraordinary. The people who run this company also deserve much recognition: everybody was so welcoming and friendly. I will never forget my time at Black Swan, and hope to keep in touch with the company for many years to come. Thank you for this amazing experience!” 2016 student ambassador
Black Swan Student Ambassadors - Tertiary
Tertiary ambassadors usually spend time as a Black Swan intern first and are invited to become a student ambassador by the Education & Community Access Manager.
The 2017 Tertiary Student Ambassadors are: Isa Cammarano – Curtin University, Justin Crossley – Murdoch University, Maddy Jolly Fuentes – WAAPA/ECU, Harry McGrath – UWA, Jessica Spies – WAAPA/ECU.
What is a Student Ambassador?
In the fifth year of the program, our Student Ambassadors receive the following benefits:
- Two complimentary tickets to a preview performance of all suitable Black Swan productions, and two complimentary in-season tickets.
- An invitation to the 2018 season launch, held at the State Theatre Centre of Western Australia in October 2017, for themselves and the teacher that nominated them.
- Students have the opportunity to attend any appropriate talks, events, discussions and other opportunities to engage with Black Swan during 2017.
As a Student or Tertiary Student Ambassador they will be expected to represent Black Swan through introducing other students to the company by passing on show information, talking about upcoming events and encouraging them to purchase tickets to appropriate productions.
